De Queen's Hometown Hero: DeAnn Vaught

We would like for you to meet this week’s Hometown Hero: DeAnn Vaught!

DeAnn Vaught is the State Representative for District 4. She’s currently in the third term in this position!

She’s lived in Sevier County for 44 years. She loves the community in De Queen because everyone is truly always there for each other. “If someone has a need, we will do our very best to help them in any way we can!” she said. DeAnn believes supporting local businesses is important because it helps to grow the community, especially since many of them support local schools. There are so many Mom-and-Pop shops around town for you to check out to support locally owned businesses!

DeAnn has been happily married to her husband, Jon Vaught, for almost 31 years. Together, they have three daughters and two grandchildren. In her free time, De Ann loves spending time with her family. Since she has been working as a Representative, her free time is limited, so she treasures every moment she gets to spend with them.

Fun Facts!

If you could have dinner with someone famous, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?

I could think of lots of people I would love to have dinner with from our past just so I could ask lots of questions. But I would say, I would cherish one last dinner with my mother-in-law just so we could catch up on everything that has happened since she went home to be with the Lord.

If you could only take one thing to a deserted island what would it be?

If I could only take one thing with me to a deserted island, it would be my Bible. ♥️
