Choctaw Hometown Hero: Jenny Cooper

Choctaw Hometown Hero: Jenny Cooper

We would like for you to meet this week’s Hometown Hero: Jenny Cooper!

Jenny is the owner of J. Lilly’s Boutique, which be celebrating its 10th year being open this November! “My greatest professional accomplishment is building my company to what it is today,” she said. She started her company with no retail experience but a ton of drive, wanting to learn the in's and out's of the retail world. Now, Jenny has a successful storefront and online business.

She is also a member of the Choctaw Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Service League of Midwest City. Jenny spends time volunteering at the Elks Lodge during the holiday season where she gives back to those in need. The organization provides toys, toiletries, and food items for families during Chirstmas time!

Jenny was born and raised in the Choctaw/Nicoma Park area. She loves that she gets the feeling that she lives out in the middle of the country but can still be in town in no time at all! Besides her own store, of course, Jenny loves shopping at local stores and eating at local restaurants. She knows how hard it is to own a small business, and she always wants to support her fellow business owners!

In her free time, Jenny loves spending time with her family (her three children, Camden, Carson, and Cora). She enjoys traveling with them and going to Lake Tenkiller.

FUN FACT: I was born and raised in Nicoma Park, Oklahoma, and have lived within the same 4 miles my entire life and wouldn't change a thing. I grew up watching my parents being hard-working entrepreneurs and they taught me I can do anything with a little hard work and dedication.
